Fiji's 'legal' coup

Fiji's highest court has rewritten the legal history books by ruling that the 2006 military coup was legal. The High Court says that President Ratu Josefa Iloilo's decision to use his reserve powers to back the coup led by Commodore Frank Bainimarama was justified because of the constant state of strife in Fiji at the time.
