Bula! Welcome to Fiji!

Voila! Ca y est! We are in Fiji.

After 2-days trip passing through chaotic NY & LA airports, missing one suitcase & finding it at the end completely broken, queuing for hours to pass through hundred security checks and dead tired; we finally arrived in Nadi.
And, the first thing that surprise you in Fiji is people kindness: always smiling, trying to help you anyhow (for free) and everyone saying "Bula!" to you in every corner.

Bula means hi / good morning/ good afternoon / cool / it's ok / .... & is the most frequently used Fijian word!

The second most impressive thing is how well the airport is organised. After NY & LA experience we were expecting a messy place with hundreds of people around doing as if they were working & hidden signals indicating where you should go but, on the contrary, we entered in an extremely well organised airport with everything you were looking for in a nice & clear way. The big surprise was to find comfortable common-room sofas instead of impersonal plastic chairs at the waiting hall. If the intention of that is to feel like "home" in Fiji, they succeed!

Afterwards, the flight from Nadi to Suva takes only 30 minutes and allows you to cross the island discovering the mountains in the centre surrounded by turquoise water everywhere. The image is definitely worth it!

Observing that you realise you're in Fiji, even if you can't believe yet.
